Manchester United will be in the stands today when Lille meet Dijon in the French Ligue 1.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær is desperate to find a central midfielder for his Manchester United squad, and one of the names that is reportedly on the Norwegian’s list is the 20-year-old Boubakary Soumaré.
The Frenchman made a minor breakthrough in Lille last season and continued progressing before Christmas.
In Ligue 1, Soumaré has played 14 out of 19 matches from the start and RMC Sport recently wrote that Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid are all interested in the young midfielder.
Eurosport also had Tottenham on the prominent list.
Furthermore, according to the RMC, Lille should be more than ready to sell Soumaré. And that’s why Manchester United have decided to send scouts to France to attend today’s showdown, says French journalist Ignazio Genuardi.
AC Milan will also be represented for Sunday’s Ligue 1 match, Genuardi said.
Boubakary Soumaré played 17 matches for FC Metz before moving to Lille in the summer of 2018.
